Korean Investors Shunning China Debt After Default May Miss Out (Bloomberg)

South Korean investors shunning Chinese corporate bonds after the default of dollar notes from the country may miss out on good investment opportunities, according to a fund manager at Korea Investment Management.

China Energy Reserve & Chemicals Group Co. said in May that it couldn’t repay investors on certain securities. That reverberated in Korea because other bonds from the Chinese company had been repackaged into commercial paper sold to Korean investors.
